About Us
A Family Business on Folly Road Since 1973
In 1973, Horace Crosby, Sr. bought the property at 2223 Folly Road, hoping for a quiet spot to dock his boat and sell live shrimp and tackle to local fishermen. What began as a modest dock-side shack grew steadily, and in 1988 the business was renamed Crosby’s Fish and Shrimp under new ownership. Hurricane Hugo destroyed much of the original building in 1989, but the family and community rebuilt, and Crosby’s has continued serving the Charleston area with the freshest local seafood ever since.
Today, three generations later, Crosby’s remains a family owned and operated business proudly serving Folly Road with fresh seafood, a dockside kitchen, local merchandise, and more.
